29.8.–1.9.2019
At the second Design Biennale Zurich, national and international designers from various fields presented their ideas, visions, installations and projects – and invited the public to discover, explore and play along.
The group exhibition at the Creative Lab at Werkstadt Zürich combined contemporary design projects and installations from various disciplines. At the Old Botanical Garden, up-and-coming design talents showed specially conceived projects, inspired by the Swiss design classic Vita Parcours. The Swiss Game Design Lounge at the Museum für Gestaltung Zurich was dedicated to contemporary experimental video games. At the Pop-up Conference, technology, simulation and robotics met material, poetry and irritation. And in the off spaces, partners became hosts and provided an insight into their work. The activities with special guided tours in the partner museums, various talks, lectures and design promenades, a games evening and a children’s workshop complemented the exhibition formats.
