Following the Asphalt Clock, The Badenerstrasse Stool is the second self-made product crafted from broken asphalt sourced from Zurich construction sites. It serves as a homage to the rich history of Swiss inventions. At the same time, the object aims to provoke thought with its ambiguity, encouraging reflection on noble and worthless materials and resources.
The project was created for the exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ECAL Industrial Design diploma class reunion. The exhibition took place from September 14 to November 1, 2024, in the window of the Swiss Design Embassy Zurich.
Unique piece.
