Nikola-Lenivets

A remote nature park, an extinct village, a dropped out artist and a great idea. This is roughly the story of the creation of the unique Nikola-Lenivets Art Park in the Kaluga region of Russia. Since 2005, the Arkhstoyanie Festival has been creating fantastic art installations in the great outdoors every year. These are realized together with the local population and can be visited 24 hours a day throughout the year. A total of more than 100 temporary or permanent works by national and international artists have come together in the fields and forests of the park. The most famous of these are probably the Rotunda by Alexander Brodsky and the lighthouse of the founder Nikolay Polissky.
